Birmingham City’s Top 3 Performers This Season So Far

24/09/24 20:53

Birmingham City have been flying this season so far. An unbeaten start to life in EFL League One has put them on course to be promoted back to the Championship come the end of the year.

Although everyone in that squad has been performing exceptionally today we thought we would have a look at who has stood out above the rest.

Who have been Birmingham City’s top performers this season?

(All stats taken from SofaScore)

Alfie May

Birmingham City signed Alfie May from Charlton Athletic this summer and he has been incredible so far.

This season the striker has already managed four goals and one assist. This despite averaging just 68 minutes per game. This as well as an average SofaScore rating of 7.38.

So often this season he has been the focal point of the Birmingham City attack and with good reason. He knows how to score goals as proven.

A fantastic signing that will surely continue to improve on his statistics this season.

Tomoki Iwata

Despite only playing two games for the club so far Iwata has made a huge impact and is in Birmingham’s top performers list.

To be fair he has started two games and scored two goals as well becoming a constant threat for Birmingham going forward. Averaging a goal a game it is no surprise he is on this list.

Iwata already looks way too good for League One and I am sure he will continue to show that. Especially if he can maintain an average SofaScore rating of 7.50.

Jay Stansfield

The return of Jay Stansfield has certainly been impressive so far.

Another player that is clearly way too good for this level Stansfield has an average SofaScore rating of an incredible 7.75.

In two games he already has three goals and has helped form what is clearly an absolutely terrifying attack for the Blues.

It has certainly been a great homecoming so far. And it only looks as though it will get better for him.
