Bolton have agreed a deal to sign Middlesbrough forward Marcus Forss on a loan deal until the end of the season, according to Pete O'Rourke.
Forss, who joined Middlesbrough from Brentford back in 2022, has found minutes hard to come by in the early stages of this campaign. With both of his appearances this season coming off the bench, a season-long loan for Forss is now on the cards as he searches for regular first-team action.
The addition of Forss would be yet more evidence of Bolton's efforts to overhaul their squad this season. Their utility of the loan market in this window, as well as notable transfer fees for the likes of Ethan Erhahon from Lincoln and Thierry Gale from Rapid Wien, has meant a very active summer for the League One club.

Bolton, who have stagnated in their start to the season, have drawn four of their opening six games. Manager Steven Schumacher will be keen to improve results sooner, rather than later, and will be hoping the incoming Forss can add to the firepower of his Bolton squad.
Forss, who has 16 caps for Finland, endured a below-par season last year, scoring only once his 24 Championship appearances. The Finn will now be looking to rediscover his goal scoring touch, with a loan move to Bolton providing a perfect opportunity to do so.
