In hopes of continuing their push for automatic promotion, or at the very least a spot in the League One play-offs, Bolton Wanderers are targeting a loan move for Celtic striker Johnny Kenny, according to David Sneyd.
The 22 year old would be subjected to a 6 month loan in Bolton for the remainder of the season if the move goes through to try and assist in pushing the club over the line.
The signing would not be a permanent and also seems unlikely to even include an option for the deal to become so due to the fact that Kenny signed a contract extension just last summer that will see him stay at Celtic Park until 2029.
What this does indicate is the value that Celtic see in their young forward but why is this the case? Well so far this season Kenny has been able to bag 4 goals and provide 2 assists in 15 appearances in the Scottish Premiership.

On top of this Kenny made his international debut for Ireland back in November which adds to the clear ability the striker has. Bolton currently sit 6 points away from an automatic promotion spot as they continue their bid for a place in the Championship at the start of next season and perhaps Kenny could be crucial to doing so.
