It was a massive game for both sides today. For Bournemouth it was a chance to close down Liverpool, putting pressure on them to get a final day result to confirm Champions League football. As for City it was a must win if they wanted even a crumb of a chance of lifting the league title.

The game started as we have begun to expect with Jeremy Doku having a good early chance that ended up meeting a strong save from Djordje Petrovic. However, it was Bournemouth who had the best chance early on as a cross was flashed across the middle of the box finding Evanilson in miles of space. However, somehow, he turned the ball over the City goal and they escaped. Although after a quick review it looked to be offside.

Chance kept coming for City, while not any clear chances, they were making them and taking shots. However, it was the Cherries that struck first. A quick attack found Adrien Truffert who took one quick look up before laying it back to teenage sensation Junior Kroupi, who placed a beautiful strike past Donnarumma to make it 1-0. This was a goal that Bournemouth fans celebrated, but Arsenal fans loved, it meant that they were just 45 minutes away from their first league title in 22 years.

The second half was no different. Once again City started fast. Nico O’Reilly found himself in the middle of the box with a great chance that once again was saved. It kept going like this, chance after chance with Both teams having more shots alone this half then they had combined in the first half. However, the next goal wasn’t scored until the 96th minute when Haaland found himself able to finally best Petrovic. However, it was too little too late.

City failed to win, and it meant that Arsenal had held them off and had finally won the Premier League.
