EXCLUSIVE: Tobias Brenan Seals Bromley Move After Contract Agreed
Football Park exclusively understands that Tobias Brenan has completed his move from Wigan Athletic to newly-promoted League One outfit Bromley, subject to FA clearance.
It was reported four days ago that a fee had been agreed between the two clubs, but agreement on the fine print of the contract and the announcement that the player officially passed his medical only came this afternoon, with Brenan securing a move to Hayes Lane for an undisclosed fee.

The 20-year-old midfielder becomes Bromley’s ninth permanent signing of the summer, and the club's heavy outlay coincides with Football Park’s exclusive report that former Everton striker Victor Anichebe is allegedly in talks to complete a board takeover at the club.
Bromley and Brenan Bring Things To A Close
Prior to signing on the dotted line at Bromley, Brenan had been on the wishlist of a host of League One and League Two clubs during the transfer window, with heavy interest being recorded as far back as early July.
Having netted three times and assisted one during a loan spell at League Two Harrogate Town last season, many believed that the player would be sent back to England’s fourth tier in a bid to continue his development.
However, with Bromley having secured the player’s signature, he has instead been snapped up by one of Wigan’s direct League One rivals, a move that could come back to bite them as early as October, when the two sides meet in the league.
A Board-Influenced Move?
Brenan’s arrival in South London arrives during a period of heavy speculation surrounding the Bromley ownership, after our report last week that Anichebe was allegedly in talks to takeover from current majority shareholder Robin Stanton-Gleaves.

Rumours of a takeover at the club began in early June, and since then, the club have welcomed 12 new arrivals, an indication that an increase in funding could well be on the horizon. Five of these signings have arrived for undisclosed fees, with Brenan becoming the sixth.
Of course, it remains unconfirmed whether Anichebe is a driving force behind Bromley’s transfer business this summer, but there is no doubt that the club are desperate to get League One life off to the best possible start.
All but three of their new assets previously played at League One level or above, while only three are aged 28 or over - it seems that a fine balance of youth and experience are the order of the day in South London.
Contrastingly for Wigan, Brenan’s departure represents the second highly-touted youngster ripped from their grasp, after Harrison Bettoni left the Latics for Chelsea early this summer.
It remains to be seen whether Brenan will slot straight into the Bromley first team, or be sent out on loan for another season to ensure he is ready for League One football the following campaign, but what is certain is that this is not the end of the road for the exciting young Englishman.
