Brighton Forward Mark O'Mahony Set to Join Burton Albion
The Brewers Closing in on O'Mahony
The 21-year-old Irish striker has been the subject of interest as of late from League One club Burton Albion.
The deal looks set to happen, as reported by Football Insider journalist Peter O'Rourke.

A few Reading fans expressed their condonlences in the replies, with one fan claiming O'Mahony is "one of the worst 'footballers' I've ever seen at Reading".
O'Mahony scored just two goals in 21 appearances during his loan spell at Reading during the 2025/26 season. Alarmingly, neither of his two goals came in League One, a worrying stat for Burton Albion supporters.
His loan spell at Portsmouth in the Championship a season prior was much more promising, however. Three goals in 13 appearances is a much nicer ratio.
Where is the Game Time coming from?
The League One side have a plethora of forwards at their disposal already and it does beg the question where O'Mahony's minutes are going to come from.
Burton Albion are fairly stacked in that department, so was this really the best loan move that could be offered to the Irishman with deadline day approaching?
