Bristol Rovers Set to Land Swansea Midfielder

Bristol Rovers are set to sign 20 year old Welsh midfielder Joel Cotterill from Swansea City, as per Fourth Tier Fever.

Cotterill is a product of the Swansea City Academy and has made 1 appearance for the Swans before spending time on loan at Stockport County and Swindon Town.

In the 2024/25 season, Cotterill made 48 appearances for Swindon across all competitions, netting 5 goals and grabbing 2 assists.

The Bristol Rovers Rebuild

Bristol Rovers, relegated from League One last season, sit 16th in League Two after 6 games. The Gas have added 4 new signings this summer as they look to rebuild under newly appointed manager Darrell Clarke, and last weekend's win over Grimsby - fresh from their upset against Manchester United - could mark the start of their revival.

Cotterill's Impact

After a strong season of regular minutes with Swindon Town in League Two, Joel Cotterill brings notable experiene for his age. The 2005-born midfielder operates mainly in central midfield but can also cover at right wing-back or in a holding role. For the Gas, he looks a shrewd acquisition in their push for an immediate return to League One.
