Burton Albion have agreed a deal with Wrexham for the signing of George Evans Pete O'Rourke has confirmed.
The defensive midfielder joined Wrexham back in 2023 from Millwall when they were in League Two and has been a key player in their rapid rise to the Championship since the Hollywood duo's takeover. Evans hasn't featured in the league this season with his only appearances coming in the opening rounds of their EFL Cup wins against Hull City and Preston.

Burton who have already confirmed the signing of defender Alex Hartridge from Wycombe this morning are looking to build on last season's 18th placed finish in League One by signing Evans.
The man from Cheadle came through the youth system at Manchester City. He is a player that has been praised for his versatility last season from current Wrexham boss Phil Parkinson. When speaking on an episode of 'Welcome to Wrexham' he said.
George Evans is back from a long injury which is great for us, he can play at the back, he can play across the midfield, he’s a great player to have back in the squad.

This ability to play in numerous positions is a key attribute to have and The Brewers fans will be excited to see the new man play at the Pirelli Stadium Princess Way. The 30-year-old will provide stability to Burton's defensive line and manager Gary Bowyer will be pleased to add a valuable addition to his side in their attempt to improve on last campaign.
