League One side Burton Albion are looking into signing Notts County's main man Matthew Dennis, According to Pete O'Rourke, there has been a bid rejected however there may be a chance that a breakthrough comes as negotiations continue.
Burton are currently sat in 21st place in League One and are looking to potential recruits in hopes of staving off promotion come the end of the season and with a player of the calibre in front of goal like, Matthew Dennis these hopes would start to look just that bit more real.
Matthew Dennis has been huge for Notts County this season featuring in virtually every game of the season for the side. He has been able to bag 12 goals and chip in with 1 assist in the league following his arrival from Carlisle United in the Summer.
As per Pete O'Rourke the bid has been rejected by Notts County who will of course be aiming to keep their main man as they continue the push for promotion.

If Dennis were to make the jump he would be moving up a league into League One however with Burton Albion sitting in the relegation zone of League One at the moment there could be a potential that he ends up back in League Two just 6 months later. Time will tell whether the move happens but it'll certainly be one that raises eyebrows if it does go through.
