Can Fulham put a dent in City's title hopes? | Fulham vs Manchester City Preview

On Saturday, Manchester City will travel to Craven Cottage as they take on Fulham in their penultimate away fixture of the Premier League season as the current champions look to secure a record breaking fourth Premier League trophy in a row, something no club has managed to do ever before.

With a game in hand over their title contending opponents, Arsenal, three points at Fulham will give Pep’s side the upper hand heading into their midweek fixture at Tottenham where they can reclaim top spot.

Manchester City’s comfortable 5-1 victory over Wolves last weekend still left some distastefulness amongst football fans after a furious reaction from Haaland as he was substituted after scoring four goals.

It was later confirmed that his anger was directed towards referee Craig Pawson after “he was being pulled and was not getting any fouls for it”.

On the topic of 5-1 victories, in the reverse fixture between City and Fulham, City put 5 past Fulham as they cruised to victory at the Etihad last September. Sitting comfortably in mid-table and safe from relegation, Fulham will still be seeking some form of victory as they will not want to sit victim to another trashing from the Cityzens.

Team News

As for injuries, the only concern for Fulham will be Harrison Reed as he missed the match against Brentford due to a knock. But the player is back in training therefore should be in and around the matchday squad.

Former Man City defender, Tosin Adarabioyo has been left out of the squad for the last two weeks and there is no sign of a return as the defender has refused to sign a new contract extension with the club. It is expected for Issa Diop and Calvin Bassey to be the starting centre halves.

After weeks of players being ill, having minor injuries or being rested due to a busy schedule, Manchester City are back with a fully fit squad. Ederson looks as if he is going to return to action as well as Foden, Dias and De Bruyne.

The return of Ruben Dias and John Stones in the back line is hopeful as both players return from injury and illness.

Predictions

With the end of the season coming closer, Manchester City are turning it up as they are desperate to win the Premier League for the fourth season in a row.

An in-form Haaland will be a nightmare for the defenders for Fulham which will allow the surrounding City attackers to attack more efficiently.

Fulham's recent form has not been great but with wins against Arsenal and Tottenham at Craven Cottage may give the home side a glimmer of hope going into the fixture on Saturday.

We predict a scoreline of 4-1 to Manchester City
