Oxford and Portsmouth are amongst a whole host of clubs competing to sign out-of-favour Norwich defender Shane Duffy, according to David Mason.
Duffy, now 33, is said to have fallen out of favour at Carrow Road and Norwich are now pushing to terminate the contract of the defender. The Irishman is said to be available on a free transfer, with a number of clubs across the EFL vying for his signature.
Duffy has been ever-present in Norwich's back four, accumulating 87 appearances since he joined the club in 2023. With experience from his time at a number of teams in British football, including Blackburn, Brighton and Celtic, Duffy provides an incredibly reliable option at centre half.

A summer of change has seen a new manager appointed at Carrow Road. With the experienced defender seemingly not in the plans of new boss Liam Manning, a move away for Duffy may be the best case scenario for all parties.
One thing for sure is that whatever his next destination may be, Duffy's substantial experience in the English game will make him an attractive option for teams in need of both quality and leadership at the back.
