Raith Rovers manager Barry Robson has been relieved of his duties at The Rovers after a poor run of form that has seen them pick up just four points in their last six games, leaving them rock bottom of the form table. There was high hopes in and amongst the fanbase, as there was a largely positive end to last season, as Barry Robson turned things around after being appointed in December 2024, with his side finishing just two points away from the play-offs.

Robson managed 38 games for Raith Rovers before being sacked after a 2-1 loss to Queen's Park at Lesser Hampden last Saturday. It was clear that he had lost the support of the fans and it was quickly turning negative. In addition, assistant manager Andy Kirk will also leave with immediate effect.

The 47-year-old had previously been given the interim manager role at Aberdeen, and then eventually given the full-time role after recording seven consecutive wins to push Aberdeen into third place in the 2022-23 season. He eventually was sacked in January 2024 following disappointing results, with the Dons sitting eighth in the table at the time.

It remains to be seen where the Fife side will look for their next manager, but they will need to move quickly, with their next game on the 15th November.
