The midfielder came through Leicester City’s academy, and broke into the first team in 2021 after a successful loan at Luton Town. Dewsbury-Hall was a key player, bagging 26 goal contributions from midfield, as Leicester secured the Championship title this season.
While at Leicester, the Englishman played under new Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca, who will be excited to work with him once more given Dewsbury-Hall’s scintillating form last campaign.
Chelsea, despite issues with FFP, have parted with £30 million in order to secure Dewsbury-Hall’s services. Despite interest from Brighton, Dewsbury-Hall had his sights set on signing for Chelsea.
Given Dewsbury-Hall came through Leicester’s academy, he represents a 100% profit on the Foxes’ financial statements, which will help them comply with the Premier League’s profit and sustainability rules.
Chelsea have been busy so far in this transfer window, previously securing deals for Tosin Adarabioyo, Omari Kellyman and Marc Guiu
