Chelsea youngster Omari Kellyman has finally sealed a loan move, and will play for Cardiff City for the 2025/26 season, a move which will allow the attacking midfield a senior kick of a football for the first time in over a year.

Kellyman, who joined Chelsea for the sum of around £20 million last summer in the midst of Aston Villa’s PSR crisis, has had an injury prone time at the Blues, and found himself sidelined long enough last season to not require a loan.
The 19-year-old Englishman has played just five matches since arriving at the Blues last summer, all of which came for the Chelsea academy side, and multiple severe hamstring injuries upon his arrival in London have hampered his development.

Though he is yet to make an appearance in Chelsea Blue, Kellyman has at least sealed himself some senior football, this time in a slightly different shade of Blue - Cardiff City have proved themselves an excellent developmental club, and gave vital first team experience to the likes of Craig Bellamy, Danny Drinkwater and Aaron Ramsey.
His new side are fresh off the back of relegation from the Championship, and will have their sights set on an immediate rebound to the second tier. Though not short on attacking options, Kellyman will provide them with incisiveness and vision that existing squad members lack, giving them an extra dimension when Kellyman recovers from his latest injury setback.
