It has been reported that a number of EFL clubs are vying for the services of Wrexham striker Ollie Palmer as we enter the final few days of the transfer window, according to Football League World.
With both Championship and League One interest in the forward, Palmer is not short of admirers. After enjoying three successive promotions with the North Wales side, Palmer's time with Wrexham looks to be coming to an end.
Wrexham's transfer dealings this summer has left the 33-year old even further down the pecking order and an exit now looks inevitable in the coming days. With up to 5 teams in the race for his signature, the addition of Palmer would be welcomed by a plethora of clubs throughout the EFL.
Ollie Palmer has been a regular figure within the ranks of The Red Dragons.
Having dropped down three divisions - from League One to the National League - to sign with Wrexham from AFC Wimbledon in January 2022, Palmer has been a mainstay of the team that has enjoyed three promotions on the trot, rising from non-league to the Championship in his three-and-a-half year spell with Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney's side.
With 150 appearances and 46 goals in his wake, the latest two coming in Wrexham's 3-3 draw with Hull City in the Carabao Cup, a clash that saw Phil Parkinson's side progress on penalties, the 6'5 striker now appears to be on his way out of the club, with several clubs taking an interest in the 33-year-old.

Sheffield Wednesday, though they remain in the vices of the EFL when it comes to registering new recruits for their squad, are amongst the chasing pack, as are Crawley Town, Cambridge United, Bristol Rovers and Salford City.
Should Wednesday wish to secure the arrival of Palmer to bolster their threadbare squad, they will need to do so either on loan or upon the cancellation of his Wrexham contract - The Owls are not allowed to pay any transfer or loan fees to other clubs until 2027, and won't be able to register him until the EFL are satisfied that controversial owner Dejphon Chansiri can consistently pay the wages of his employees.
Dorking Wanderers were another club believed to be linked with the veteran forward - Football Park understands that this move is not likely to materialise.
Another departure from the frontline of Wrexham's side is EFL stalwart Jack Marriott, who has departed the STōK Cae Ras by way of Reading.
All at Wrexham AFC would like to wish double promotion winner Jack Marriott all the best, as he has signed a permanent deal with Reading.

Despite scoring six goals from just nine League One starts last season as part of Wrexham's promotion-winning side, Marriott was deemed expendable by the club this summer, allowing The Royals to secure his services as a replacement for top-scorer Harvey Knibbs at the start of August, who departed for Nathan Jones' Charlton Athletic side.
Marriott has been officially unveiled by a Reading side that are yet to win in League One this season, hoping the former Derby County and Peterborough forward, aged 30, can lean on his nous and experience to add goals into their side this term.
