Celje vs Drita

Celje win 6-4 on aggregate

After two classic encounters, with both matches finding 3-2, Slovenian side Celje will be progressing to the round of 16 of the Conference League.

A brace from Svit Seslar, and a goal from centre-back Darko Hrka meant that Drita had a mountain to overcome, and despite goals from Blerim Krasniqi and Albert Dabiqaj, the Kosovo side were unable to overcome their one-goal deficit from the first leg.

Celje will now face either Sparta Prague or AEK Athens in the round of 16.

Samsunspor vs KF Shkendija

Samsunspor win 6-0 on aggregate

In the most dominant fixture of the evening, Turkish side Samsunspor completely decimated their opponents 4-0 on the night and 6-0 on aggregate as they found themselves a place in the last 16 quite comfortably.

Macedonian side Shkendija did well to ensure that it was goalless by halftime, but in the second half, Samsunspor took over.

A penalty from Olivier Ntcham set Samsunspor on their way, before striker Cherif Ndiaye doubled the tally.

Ghanaian Marius Mouandilmadji would then end the tie, as his double ensured a comfortable win.

Samsunspor will now face either Shakhtar Donetsk or Rayo Vallecano in the round of 16.

Fiorentina vs Jagiellonia Bialystok

Fiorentina win 6-5 on aggregate

What seemed like a night that would be smooth sailing for Fiorentina turned sour quickly as their 3-0 goal lead was quickly diminished.

The Italian side has been struggling in the Serie A this season, and this was made apparent when a leaky defence conceded a hat-trick to midfielder Bartosz Mazurek.

A goal in the 23rd minute set Jagiellonia Bialystok on their way, before Mazurek added his second and third of the night in the 3rd minute of extra time in the first half, and the fourth minute of the second half.

The scorelines remained at 3-3 for the rest of the match, causing the first casualty of extra-time for the tournament.

However, as extra time progressed, Fiorentina latched onto the tired legs of the Polish side, and both Nicolo Fagioli and Moise Kean scored.

Jesus Imaz would drag one back for Jagiellonia Bialystok in the 118th minute, but it was too little, too late.

Fiorentina will now face either Strasbourg or Raków Częstochowa in the round of 16.

Rijeka vs Omonoia

Rijeka win 4-1 on aggregate

What started out as a level tie became unbalanced in the second half as Croatian side Rijeka ultimately dominated the second fixture against Cypriot side Omonoia.

With the first leg going Rijeka’s way, Omonia needed to act fast to counterbalance the match, and Muamer Tankovic did just that, putting the Cypriot side 1-0 up in the 13th minute.

With the tie level at 1-1, it was anyone's game to win, but a brace in the second half from Toni Fruk pushed Rijeka ahead, before Daniel Adu-Adjei ended any chance of a comeback for Omonoia.

Rijeka will now face either Raków Częstochowa or Strasbourg in the round of 16.

FC Lausanne-Sport vs Sigma Olomouc

Sigma Olomouc win 3-2 on aggregate

After a 1-1 draw in the first leg, Czech Republic side Sigma Olomouc bottled out a narrow 2-1 away win as they progressed through to the round of 16.

Winger Jachym Sip would open the scoring for Sigma in the 22nd minute, before Swiss side Lausanne-Sport levelled the scoreline through their 19-year-old youngster Omar Janneh.

Janneh, who is of Gambian descent but plays for the Spanish under 19 sides, has had a great start to life in Switzerland, contributing to seven goals in his first nine games.

His goal would not be enough, however, as midfielder Antonin Rusek would score Sigma’s second of the night in the 44th minute, ensuring their progression in the tournament.

Sigma Olomouc will now face either AEK Larnaca or Mainz 05 in the round of 16.

Crystal Palace vs Zrinjski Mostar

Crystal Palace win 3-1 on aggregate

Despite being the favourites for the competition before a ball was even kicked, English side Crystal Palace have found their first year in Europe to be a momentous strain on their squad, and have just about managed to progress through to the round of 16.

Oliver Glasner’s side were held to a 1-1 draw in Bosnia and Herzegovina last week, and today could only manage a 2-0 victory over Zrinjski Mostar, courtesy of a Maxence Lacroix goal in the 36th minute, before Evann Guessand would put Palace ahead and out of sight in the 93rd minute..

Despite the low-scoreline, Mostar never looked like scoring. Throughout the match, they had very little of the ball and managed just one shot.

Crystal Palace will now face either Mainz 05 or AEK Larnaca in the round of 16.

AZ Alkmaar vs Noah

AZ Alkmaar win 4-1 on aggregate

After suffering a shock 1-0 defeat to Armenian side FC Noah in the first leg, AZ Alkmaar turned the deficit around as they won comfortably to progress through to the next round.

Youngster Ro-Zangelo Daal opined the scoring in the fifth minute—scoring just his third senior goal in the process—before midfielder Sven Mijnans would score a brace, getting his first in the 39th minute before doubling up in the 54th.

This makes it 14 in all competitions this season for the Dutchman, equaling his tally from last season.

Danish winger Isak Jensen would add the cherry on the cake for AZ Alkmaar, scoring in the 91st minute to round up a perfect evening for fans of the Dutch side.

AZ Alkmaar will now face either AEK Athens or Sparta Prague in the round of 16.

Lech Poznan vs Kuopion Palloseura

Lech Poznan win 3-0 on aggregate

After a comfortable 2-0 win in the first leg, Lech Poznan ensured they progressed through with a safe 1-0 home win against Kuopion Palloseura (KuPS).

The Polish side's only scorer of the night was Pablo Rodriguez, a Spanish midfielder who was signed for the club last summer from Italian side Lecce.

Finnish side KuPS pushed for a momentous way back into the match, but were no match for their Polish counterparts. Throughout the 90 minutes, KuPS managed just six shots, with just one resulting in a keeper save.

Lech Poznan will now face either Rayo Vallecano or Shakhtar Donetsk in the round of 16.
