Crystal Palace Star Tipped Towards Manchester City Move

It was only last season’s January transfer window that Adam Wharton stepped up into the Premier League joining Crystal Palace from his boyhood club of Blackburn Rovers but his impact and performances at the Eagles has not gone amiss, leading him with the possibility of joining reigning champions Manchester City.

The 20 year old’s stocks are at the highest they have ever been after achieving three assists from 15 starts. That form has just earned him a place in the England squad to be taken to Euro 2024 in Germany, making him one out of four Palace players to be on the plane.

As he is only a long-term target for now, there is no doubt that he could be the natural Rodri replacement when the Spaniard decides to move on from Manchester. Or City fans could be treated to an early transfer depending on their arrivals and departures, allowing Wharton to learn alongside one of the best defensive midfielders in the world, something that will transform his game to the next level.

The news on the move comes from credited journalist Dom Smith, someone who Football Park rates a tier three journalist out of a five tier system in terms of reliability so watch this space.

With Wharton in the long-term plans for City, it begs the questions of when we will see him move and what sort of level can he reach. Clearly the sky is the limit for him.
