Crystal Palace Take Advantage Of Free Agent Situation

01/07/24 18:39

Ryan Sessegnon is officially out of contract and has become a free agent as of today. He has not played in the Premier League since February 2023 where he picked up a serious hamstring injury that subsequently had him requiring surgery on it. Sessegnon has played a total of 45 minutes of football in the 23/24 season and unfortunately that is one of the reasons that Tottenham have decided not to renew his contract.

Tier one rated Football Park rated source David Ornstein, has broken the news that Crystal Palace have given the Englishman a chance to partake in some training with the club, as they are interested in signing him in the future. He would obviously cost Palace no money transfer fee wise, but a deal on what the value of his contract is should go smoothly with Sessegnon likely being desperate to still play in the Premier League.

It is said that current Crystal Palace manager, Oliver Glasner is keen on Ryan after his stint at TSG 1899 Hoffenheim on loan during the 20/21 season. Sessegnon would not be a guaranteed starter as fellow countryman Tyrick Mitchell holds the left wing back spot. A fight for that starting spot is something that Sessegnon might need to boost his confidence levels if he wants to make it back to the top of his game again.

The Eagles had a fantastic run at the end of the season and will look to continue that into the 24/25 season. Does that involve Ryan Sessegnon? Who knows?
