As reported earlier by SkySportsPL Crystal Palace were exploring a late move for Everton’s Dwight McNeil. They had managed to put a bid in for winger that was worth £20 million. That bid was accepted by Everton.
However, as we have now moved past the 7pm closure of the transfer window, the deal has yet to be fully completed putting this deal in jeopardy. Crystal Palace might struggle to make a deal happen; however, they still have the option to apply for a deal sheet to be used. This would allow them to be able to extend the period that they have to work on the potential deal and allow it to happen.

The 26-year-olds deal to the London side now holds in the balance as we wait to see if Palace are able to get this over the line and complete their 3rd signing of the window.
Palace will definitely be looking at using the option of activating the deal sheet to make sure this deal goes through. This would mean that Palace would have an extra 2 hours to get any type of deal for the winger done. However, if there is still outstanding paperwork by that 21:00 time limit, the deal will fall through.
Everton has already landed the signing of Brennan Johnson this summer and looks to have completed the signing of Jorgen Strand Larsen who they have just signed from Wolves. However, with this deal at the same time, will they be able to complete the deal for Dwight McNeil? It will have to be seen.
Elsewhere in Crystal Palace, they are looking at finalising and announcing the deal for Strand Larson from Wolves for a record fee and they will be hoping that he can change their fortunes.
The signing of 26-year-old Dwight McNeil currently stands in the balance as both Everton and Crystal Palace hope that they can get the rest of the paper done soon if not in the next 2 hours.
