Dani Carvajal to Renew at Real Madrid?

01/10/24 15:04

According to Fabrizio Romano, talks between Dani Carvajal’s camp and Real Madrid are set to commence over a contract extension.

The Spaniard is set to be very happy at Real Madrid, where he has spent the majority of his career, and would be pleased with a new contract offer.

Barring a one year stint at Bayer Leverkusen, after which Real activated their buy-back clause, Carvajal has spent his entire professional career with Los Blancos. Given he’s won it all, whilst being relatively untouchable at right-back, it’s not surprising the 32-year-old isn’t keen on playing elsewhere in Europe.

Just some of the accolades Carvajal has achieved during his tenure at Real include: six Champions League titles, four La Liga titles and two Copa Del Ray’s.

Whilst most of the previous ‘era’ of Real Madrid stars have departed; with Ronaldo playing in Saudi Arabia, Toni Kroos and Gareth Bale retiring, Carvajal remains irreplaceable at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Despite Real Madrid shifting their focus to a new, younger generation of players, Carvajal is still deemed an important player and started in their Champions League final victory last season.

Whilst Carvajal rules out another club in Europe, that doesn’t close the door on potentially spending his upcoming twilight years in the USA or Saudi Arabia.
