Denmark vs England: Team News and Predicted Line ups
England head to Frankfurt for their second group game of the 2024 Euros, where they face Denmark, who they beat in the semi-final of the 2020 tournament. The Three Lions come off the back of a victory against Serbia, while Denmark will be looking to improve on their draw against Slovenia. Kick off is at 5pm BST on Thursday and the match is available on the BBC.
England Team News
Despite widespread criticism of England’s performance against Serbia, Gareth Southgate is unlikely to change things up. The only change that may happen is at left-back, if Luke Shaw is deemed fit enough to start.

Conor Gallagher impressed off the bench against Serbia, so he could be utilised on Thursday alongside Declan Rice, but it looks as if Southgate is happy with Trent Alexander-Arnold partnering the Arsenal man.
Phil Foden could lose his place due to his disappointing performance on Sunday, with both Anthony Gordon and Eberechi Eze viable options on the left flank.
Denmark Team News
Kasper Hjulmand is unlikely to be happy after his team’s draw against Slovenia on Sunday, and so it is possible that he makes a lot of changes ahead of the clash against England.

Jonas Wind could lose his place in the starting line up, despite providing an assist for Christian Eriksen’s goal, with Mikkel Damsgaard a possibility in the forward line.
Joakim Maele could also start, after coming off the bench on Sunday. The full-back has 45 caps for the national team, and scored twice in the last Euros, against Russia and Wales.
England have a mixed recent record against the Danes. They won their last meeting, three years ago in the semi-final of the Euros, but their two meetings before that were a 0-0 draw and a 1-0 loss in the UEFA Nations League, in 2020.

Denmark:
Schmeichel, Andersen, Christensen, Vestergaard, Maele, Hjulmand, Hojbjerg, Kristiansen, Eriksen, Damsgaard, Hojlund
Denmark 0-1 England
Like the Serbia game, I think that this game will be tough for the Three Lions. Serbia have more attacking threat than the Danes, so England should be good enough defensively to keep them out, but I don’t see much getting past the Denmark defence either.
