Everton receive Two-Point deduction from Premier League

Everton have been deducted 2 points by the Premier League due to a second breach of PSR Rules.

The Toffees are now the first team in top-flight history to receive two separate points deductions within the same season.

This breach is unrelated to the original charge which resulted in 10 points being deducted, before it was reduced to 6 in February.

Everton now find themselves one place lower in 16th and only two points above the relegation zone after a significant 1-0 win against Burnley on Saturday.

Everton have released a statement which concluded with them saying; "the Club and its legal representatives have begun the preparations to appeal the Commission’s decision"

After one successful appeal Everton will hope for the same result, but with not long left in the season they may need to ensure their survival on the pitch first.
