Everton To Miss Out On Ndidi
Wilfred Ndidi looked to be set on a move to Everton this summer, with some reports saying that the player had agreed a move to the Merseyside club.
AllNigeriaSoccer, which Football Park ranks as tier 3 for reliability, has broken the news on X that the Nigerian international has agreed to stay at Leicester and will sign a new contract with the club.
The player's current deal was due to expire this summer. Everton saw him as an ideal replacement for their rumoured outgoing midfielder Amadou Onana, who has been linked with a move to Bayern Munich.

What other players could Everton try to sign?
Everton have been busy at the start of this transfer window. Jack Harrison has returned to the club on loan, having spent the 23/24 season with the Blues. Tim Iroegbunam joined the club from Aston Villa, a deal which saw Lewis Dobbin move in the other direction.
Fabrizio Romano has also reported that the club has agreed a deal with Marseille for Senegal international Iliman Ndiaye.

Everton may have to sell key players, with the club suffering an 8-point deduction in the 23/24 season for breaching profitability and sustainability rules in the Premier League.
This means star players like Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Jarrad Branthwaite, and Amadou Onana could have to be sold to help the Blues avoid this happening again.
Everton could turn to Manchester United’s Scott McTominay if funds become available.
The Scottish midfielder has been linked with a move in the past, with the player struggling to hold down a regular starting spot for Erik ten Hag's side.
Kalvin Phillips could also be an option if he decides to leave Manchester City. The Englishman looks to get his career back on track having lost his place for the national side due to his poor form since joining City in 2022.
