Ex-Chelsea Outcast Offered to Union Berlin

Raheem Sterling Given the Chances to Make a Swap From London to Berlin

A player who hasn’t seen the pitch in 6 months looks to have finally found a chance to get himself back out there and could see an outside chance for the World Cup. Raheem Sterling was finally given a way out of Chelsea earlier this month after they agreed on terms to end his contract.

This month he has been looking at clubs to join so that he can finally get back on the pitch and one of those clubs reported by Plettigoal on X was a team from the German capital Union Berlin.

Could we see Sterling swap one capital city for another this month as his search for a new club begins?

Raheem Sterling’s Situation

Sterling was always going to be a difficult player for Chelsea to sell after he fell out of favour with previous manager Enzo Maresca. The main factor was his wage. Being the highest paid player at the club on over 300,000 a week.

It looks like Sterling will have to reduce this wage is he has any hopes of finding a new club to play for in the near future. After not playing for several months, his value has dropped drastically however, Union Berlin look to see him as a potential signing as they look to try and fight up the Bundesliga and put some pressure on the top 6 clubs.

Elsewhere in Chelsea, after failing to win the fight between them and Liverpool for French defender Jeremy Jacquet, they look to be trying to find a new defender that they can sign to add depth.

Sterling has been one of the best wingers to come from England in this generation and will be hoping that his new club will help him find his old form again especially considering it might give him an outside chance for what could be one last dance with England in the World Cup.
