Luton Town appear to be moving decisively in the transfer market, with reports indicating they are set to strengthen their midfield.
They have their sights set on a central midfielder who took the Championship by storm in his side's promotion season but has failed to maintain that form and has slid down the pecking order in John Eustace's plans.
Big news coming from the forum as Derby County are set to lose 2 players.

A fresh start seems more than likely for the 29-year-old , and we think that this would be a very smart signing by The Hatters. Ebou Adams joined Derby on loan from Cardiff City in January 2024 and would go on to be an integral asset behind their promotion to the Championship that season. Adams continued to impress in The Rams' return to the second tier, featuring in all but two league matches and scoring six goals during that time.
It's not just the attacking returns that deserve credit; Adams was the heartbeat of the Derby midfield. A livewire who would never stop battling for his side, and it is no surprise that he was ranked amongst the top for interceptions, tackles, and blocks. Following the appointment of Eustace in February , Adams received the highest of praises by being given the captaincy by his manager and went on to help his side maintain Championship status following a strong run of form towards the end of the season.

Given the form of both Bobby Clark and Liam Thompson in the Derby midfield, playing time has been few and far between for Adams this season. A move in January seems more than likely for the midfielder, and the Luton Town interest appears to be growing day by day. The Hatters are seeking an instant return to the second tier after experiencing consecutive relegations, and they currently sit just five points adrift of the playoff places.
The midfield appears to be an area of concern for Luton, with the likes of Lamine Fanne and George Saville failing to provide the quality required for a side seeking promotion. The engine and tenacity of Adams seem like a no-brainer for Jack Wilshere's side, and you would trust the former Arsenal midfielder to get the best out of a fellow central midfielder. Adams will be on the hunt for guaranteed game time and has proven his worth as a Championship player, so he will bring his experience and know-how of getting out of the division to a hopeful Luton Town side.
