Forest Duo Targeted by Serie A Clubs - No Sale Expected

Ndoye and Kali Targetted in Italy

Nottingham Forest duo Arnaud Kalimuendo and Dan Ndoye have been subjected to Deadline Day interest by Como and AS Roma respectively, according to Gianluigi Longari and Lorenzo Canicchio (also respectively.)

Kalimuendo has been tipped to receive a second chance in a Forest shirt by new manager Oliver Glasner, but a number of clubs have circled around him as potential suitors in the late stages of summer - chiefly led by Eintracht Frankfurt who are keen on another loan deal, as well as Como as the above report states.

Forest, however, have no interest in another loan and will only sell the Frenchman permanently for the right price, believed to be in the region of £30m.

Meanwhile, AS Roma sent an enquiry to Forest about the availability of Swiss winger Dan Ndoye, but it is believed that Forest are in no mood at all to sell the 25-year-old who scored at Anfield in a 2-2 draw with Liverpool this weekend.

Italian Interest in Forest Duo

Whether or not Forest will sanction a sale for Kalimuendo remains to be seen - Glasner seems keen on him, and he can hold useful attributes playing behind a traditional number nine (such as record signing Liam Delap), but it is unlikely for now that the PSG product will be the first name on the Reds' team sheet going forward.

He only arrived in Nottingham a year ago from Stade Rennais but was sent out on loan to Frankfurt in the winter, where he netted six goals from 19 appearances. That has led to renewed interest in him from the Bundesliga side, despite them having had the option to buy him earlier this summer anyway.

Ndoye, meanwhile, is held in high regard at Forest as a player suitable for a direct, playmaking player in behind the striker. He played well against Liverpool at the weekend outside of his opening goal, and Glasner is believed to be a big fan of his. As such, the club are unlikely to let the Swiss attacker leave the City Ground today with such short notice for a replacement, just one year after he signed from fellow Serie A side Bologna.
