Forest Explore Deal for Portuguese Talent

Nottingham Forest are now pursuing a deal for 19 year-old Braga winger Roger Fernandes, according to Sacha Tavolieri.

Their interest in Fernandes comes after an agreement for Belgium attacker Dodi Lukebakio failed to materialise earlier on in the window, with talks now said to be advancing between the Premier League side and Braga in a deal for the winger.

Forest, who have been active again this summer, have already signed the likes of Dan Ndoye and Omari Hutchinson in Fernandes' position. However, Nuno Espirito Santos' side look to set to continue their spending this window, with a move said to be being explored for the talented 19 year-old.

An Exciting Prospect

At only 19 years of age, Fernandes has established himself as one of Braga's main men in recent times. With 39 appearances across all competitions last season, he has been a constant of Braga's first eleven, something that looks to have continued this campaign.

Fresh off scoring his first goal of the season on Sunday night against Rio Ave, interest from the Premier League for Fernandes does not come as any surprise.

An academy product of Braga, Fernandes became the second-youngest player in the club's history when he made his debut in 2021. Since then, he has continued to evolve from strength to strength. Now one of Braga's most influential players, Forest fans will be excited by Fernandes' potential if a move to the Premier League were to happen.
