Chelsea FC are certainly known to have an abundance of young attacking talent, from the likes of Alejandro Garnacho to Estevao Willian to Jamie Gittens.
They certainly aren't missing a certain player, who was once their new rising star from Eastern Europe. Mykhailo Mudryk was signed by Chelsea in January 2023 for a large sum of around £62 million, after the winger was heavily linked with London rivals Arsenal.
His time at Chelsea has certainly been... interesting, to say the least. One thing's for sure, and that is that he has been in the news a lot more lately for his off-the-pitch antics than his footballing ability - from being banned for doping to just recently being in the news for getting a driving ban due to him having illegally tinted windows.

His time at Chelsea seems to be up, with the Ukrainian hoping that a change of scenery will help him revive his once promising football career. He was a starlet for Shakhtar Donetsk, but he hasn't quite ever hit those same heights for Chelsea. We are here to provide you with five potential clubs that would be the perfect fit for the winger to get back into fine form this January, with his ban reportedly set to be lifted this winter window.
After a poor start to the season, West Ham currently find themselves in the relegation zone. The Hammers are lacking that extra bit of pace and flair in their attack this season, with Mudryk potentially bringing exactly that.
West Ham would be a good club for the Ukrainian, as it would allow him to still live in London and keep to his preferred conditions, giving him the best potential chance at playing his best football again. He had seriously high potential once upon a time, and West Ham could be the club to bring him back to these levels.
Many of you will know and have seen about Chelsea's multi-club model with Strasbourg. This allows them to have future signings play for some time out in France before bringing them into the Chelsea setup. This could also work the other way, with Strasbourg being the perfect way for Mudryk to gain his spark back on the football pitch.
He could go out on loan to the French club and gain back his confidence playing in the French League. Strasbourg are reported to be interested in the winger and you would imagine that Chelsea would have no issue making another deal with their family club.
The Spanish side are reportedly interested in a loan deal for the winger in January once his suspension is over. The once-feared Spanish side currently find themselves in 13th, after a poor start to the season for their standards.
Someone of Mudryk's potential could be a huge coup for the side if he is able to hit the heights he did for Shakhtar. A change of scenery could be exactly what Mudryk needs after a nightmare time in London. Sevilla may be the perfect place for him.

His suspension could be lifted on January 17, 2026, potentially allowing him to return to the pitch. Sevilla & Strasbourg are both interested.

Back to England, I believe Brighton could be a side that would be able to get the most out of Mudryk's talents. Brighton love a player who is quick and can help the team break out fast on the wing, which makes Mudryk a potentially perfect player for this role. He has bags of energy, which players under Fabian Hurzeler are known to need. He may not be a nailed-on starter, but this would help him be in a low-pressure environment where he can build his confidence on the football pitch back up, which must be in the ground right now.
Roma currently find themselves in the title race in Serie A, 4 points below current leaders Milan. He wouldn't go into the Roma squad directly as a starter, but this change of environment into a slower, less intense league could be exactly what Mudryk needs to grow back to where he used to be.
This route wouldn't be the first time either, wherein a failed Chelsea winger would bring themselves back into the limelight with a fantastic time at Roma. Take a look at someone in the news a lot right now – Mohamed Salah. After failing at Chelsea, the Egyptian bounced around a few clubs and ended up at Roma, where he was absolutely fantastic. Could the same pathway open up for Mudryk? The potential is certainly there....
