Burton Albion remains reluctant to sell midfielder Tyrese Shade, having rejected a club-record fee for the forward. The 25-year-old has attracted a host of interest from EFL club , and according to Pete O'Rourke, the Brewers have turned down three bids from the Championship for his services.
Shade joined the League One side from National League Eastleigh at the start of the season and has scored five goals in 15 league starts, as well as five goals in two FA Cup appearances. Stoke City is reported to be among the clubs interested, though there has been no confirmation of an offer being made.
Shade has marked his return to the EFL in fine fashion, having had previous spells at both Swindon Town and Walsall in League Two. He ranks among the highest for successful dribbles completed in League One this season, featuring prominently in the striker role alongside Jake Beesley. The pair have both been linked with moves away from the club, and interest is continuing to grow in what will be a tense few hours for Brewers fans.

As mentioned, we understand that the club has turned down a record bid for Shade, stating that they have no intentions to sell him in this window. The Leicester City academy product was released by the Foxes before making a permanent move to Walsall in the 2021/2022 season, failing to make a real impact with the League Two club. He then had similar fortunes with spells at Swindon and National League Solihull Moors before having his first real breakout season at Eastleigh last season.
Shade managed 21 goal contributions with the Spitfires, rightfully earning a move to League One, where he has continued to prove his worth. The St. Kitts and Nevis international remains in demand , and it will be interesting to see if further bids come in ahead of the deadline at 7 p.m.
