Gnonto Returns Home After Inital Scare
Wilfred Gnonto arrived in Florence last night which looked like a straightforward transfer after agreeing a season long loan deal at Fiorentina.
Gnonto didn't even have time to take his new Fiorentina shirt off before complications arose this morning over Leeds finding a replacement winger. Alex Crook exclusively revealed if Leeds couldn't find a replacement by 7pm tonight, the deal wouldn't go through.

However after news broke tonight announcing a deal agreed for Joan Matteo Boya to join the Leeds on loan from Frankfurt, Gnonto was granted his wish of returning to Italy.
Ben Jacobs confirmed the deal back on after Leeds agreed a deal for Matteo Boya who reportedly snubbed a move for Premier League newcomers Hull City earlier in the window.

The Italian leaves with a Cult Hero Status
The Italian has become something of a cult hero at such a young age for the Yorkshire side joining the club in 2022 and being part of their 2024/2025 promotion campaign which saw Leeds get promoted from the Championship to the Premier League for the second time in their history.
The 22-year-old looked on the verge of leaving Elland Road on a couple of occasions after their initial relegation in 2023 but now out of favour at Leeds, the Italian can get some much-needed game time at Fiorentina.
