Gun Duty - The Full List of Arsenal Players Headed to the 2026 FIFA World Cup

Premier League Champions Arsenal’s squad has become absolutely stacked over the last few years and now that the 2026 World Cup is nearly here, the Gunners are set to have players absolutely everywhere across the tournament.

You cannot buy this. There is no amount of money that can be pumped into a football club to make this happen.

Honestly, it says a lot about how far Mikel Arteta’s side have come. This is no longer just a team with one or two international stars. Arsenal now have world class players all across the pitch and plenty of them are heading into the World Cup as starters for their countries.

Some nations have already officially announced squads, while others are still yet to confirm theirs, but there are loads of Arsenal players who are basically guaranteed to be on the plane.

Here is the full list.

David Raya - Spain

Spain have not officially announced their squad yet, but there is basically zero chance David Raya misses out.

After another top season for Arsenal, he has fully established himself as one of Europe’s best goalkeepers. Spain love technically gifted keepers and Raya fits exactly what they want from the position.

William Saliba - France

William Saliba has officially been named in France’s 2026 World Cup squad and honestly, there was never any doubt.

Didier Deschamps’ side look unbelievable yet again and Saliba has become one of the leaders of their defence already. Arsenal fans genuinely believe he is one of the best centre backs on the planet now and France fans are starting to say the same thing.

France are once again one of the favourites for the trophy and Saliba will almost certainly start every game if fit.

Cristhian Mosquera - Spain

Spain are still yet to officially announce their final World Cup squad, but Cristhian Mosquera has a really strong chance of making it.

Arsenal fans have been impressed with how quickly he has settled in and his versatility across the back line could really help his chances. Spain’s defence is stacked, but Mosquera has definitely put himself in the conversation this season.

Piero Hincapié - Ecuador

Piero Hincapié is another Arsenal player still waiting on official confirmation, but he is widely expected to be part of Ecuador’s squad.

He has become one of the most reliable defenders in South America over the last few years and his aggressive style suits tournament football perfectly. Ecuador have a really solid side as well and could easily surprise a few teams this summer.

Gabriel Magalhães - Brazil

Gabriel has officially made Carlo Ancelotti’s Brazil squad.

Brazil have ridiculous attacking talent as always, but defensively Gabriel has become one of their most reliable players over the last couple of years. His physicality and aggression fit tournament football perfectly.

Ancelotti clearly trusts him massively and Arsenal fans will not be surprised by that at all after his performances this season.

Gabriel Martinelli - Brazil

Gabriel Martinelli has also officially been selected by Brazil.

Martinelli gives Brazil something different because of his direct running and pace. Even if he does not start every game, he will absolutely have a huge role to play during the tournament.

Brazil’s attack looks frightening honestly.

Leandro Trossard - Belgium

Leandro Trossard has officially been confirmed in Belgium’s World Cup squad.

Belgium are transitioning into a newer generation now but Trossard has become one of their key experienced players. His versatility massively helps him because he can play across multiple attacking roles.

He has quietly had another strong season for Arsenal and fully deserves his spot.

Martín Zubimendi - Spain

Martín Zubimendi should comfortably make Spain’s final squad once it is officially announced.

The midfielder has had a brilliant first season at Arsenal and many fans already see him as one of the most important players in Arteta’s side. His composure on the ball and ability to control games make him a perfect fit for Spain’s system.

Declan Rice - England

England’s squad has still not officially dropped yet, but Declan Rice is nailed on.

He has become one of England’s most important players and honestly one of the first names on the teamsheet now. The leadership and control he brings in midfield is massive for tournament football.

If England go deep this summer, Rice will play a huge part in it.

Bukayo Saka - England

Same story with Bukayo Saka.

He is now one of the faces of English football and every tournament he seems to get better. England fans absolutely adore him and there is complete trust in him during big moments now.

Saka will almost certainly start on the right wing again.

Ben White - England

Ben White is another who should comfortably make the England squad.

The versatility he offers is huge because he can play at centre back or right back which managers absolutely love in tournaments. His relationship with the national team has been a bit strange at times, but his form for Arsenal speaks for itself.

Eberechi Eze - England

England’s squad still has not officially been confirmed, but Eberechi Eze has a very strong chance of going after a fantastic season. His creativity and ability to glide past defenders gives England something completely different in attack and there are plenty of fans calling for him to have a major role this summer.

Noni Madueke - England

Noni Madueke is more of an outside shout compared to some of the other Arsenal players, but he is absolutely in the conversation for England. Injuries to other attackers could massively help his chances and his direct running off the wing is something England do not have loads of. If he gets selected, this would easily be the biggest moment of his career so far.

Myles Lewis-Skelly - England

Myles Lewis-Skelly is definitely an outside shout for England’s World Cup squad, but after his breakthrough season last year, there are genuinely fans who think he could sneak in.

The youngster has impressed massively whenever he has played and his versatility is a huge bonus because he can operate in midfield or at left back, however he hasn't featured as much as he would have wanted to this season, up until recently, where he has really shown his quality.

It would be a huge surprise if he made the final squad, but just being in the conversation at his age says everything about how highly he is rated already.

Martin Ødegaard - Norway

Martin Ødegaard is finally going to get his World Cup moment.

Norway qualifying feels massive because for years football fans were frustrated watching talents like Ødegaard and Haaland miss major tournaments. Ødegaard will captain the side and if Norway surprise people this summer, he will probably be at the centre of it all.

Kai Havertz - Germany

Kai Havertz should comfortably make Germany’s final squad once it is announced.

Tournament football honestly seems to suit him. He always feels like one of those players who steps up in the biggest moments for Arsenal, with a big goal in the title race against Burnley just a few days ago, and Germany still trust him massively because of that.

Jurriën Timber - Netherlands

Timber is expected to make the Netherlands squad after rebuilding brilliantly following injury problems. He has quietly been one of Arsenal's best players this season in a defence where the two center backs get all the plaudits.

His versatility is massive for Dutch football because he can operate centrally or out wide. Arsenal fans know exactly how important he has become already.

Viktor Gyökeres - Sweden

Viktor Gyökeres has officially been named in Sweden’s World Cup squad and he is going into the tournament as one of their main men.

Sweden finally making it back to a major tournament is massive and Gyökeres played a huge role in that during qualification. His physicality, finishing and movement make him a nightmare to defend against and Arsenal fans have already seen flashes of that this season.

If Sweden are going to cause any upsets this summer, Gyökeres will probably be right at the centre of it.

The Arsenal Players Missing Out

A few Arsenal players will sadly miss the World Cup because their countries failed to qualify.

For example, Riccardo Calafiori misses out after Italy shockingly failed to qualify yet again as Italian football is at its worse level of all time.
