Haaland Set To Move To Spain in 2025
Erling Haaland has been on fire since joining Manchester City in the summer of 2022. In his first season at the club, he broke the Premier League goal scoring record, netting a whopping 36 times. He also led his team to historic treble and finished second in the Balondor, only behind a certain Lionel Messi. This is season, he is on track to win the Premier League Golden boot yet again, as Mancity compete for the Premier League and the Champions League.
However, it seems like the Norwegian striker might start looking for a new challenge in 2025. He will have spent 3 seasons at his current club and has already won everything there is to win. That also might be the year when Pep Guardiola finally departs Manchester as well and it could be the perfect time for Haaland to move on as well.
As per reports, Spain might be his destination of choice. Real Madrid and FC Barcelona are two of the biggest and most successful clubs in world football and it seems like Haaland might be set to play for one of them. Florentino Perez has been an admirer of the player for a long time and Madrid were part of the race for his signature in 2022, before he eventually joined ManCity. He could be a perfect addition to an attack consisting of Vinicius Junior, Kylian Mbappe (most probably) and even Endrick and Rodrygo. This could be an attack that dominates football for an entire decade.
Meanwhile, over at Barcelona, Joan Laporta is a huge admirer of the player as well. He already shares an extremely good relationship with the agent of the player. Barcelona will also been looking to replace the aging Lewandowski and the new Spotify Camp Nou is set to fully open in 2025 as well. It would be a dream for the Catalan club to sign a marquee player during this period of time.
For now, Haaland is very happy at Manchester City and he is a key player in what is the best team in the world. His future will be looked at in 2025 but before then, Premier League defences will have continue suffering at his hands. Any operation for the Norwegian would be very expensive as well because the English club will surely not be ready to sell their best player for a small amount. Let’s see what happens next year.
