Hibernian Look At Loan Move For Dykes

Hibernian are set to be looking at potentially adding to their attacking ranks with a loan move for Scottish striker Lyndon Dykes, as reported by Herald Sport.

Dykes, currently contracted to Birmingham City, is rumoured to be on the move this summer after falling down the pecking order following the signings of Kyogo Furuhashi and Marvin Ducksch from Rennes and Bremen respectively.

It is now thought that Hibernian are weighing up a move for the forward as he looks for regular playing time ahead of a possible World Cup campaign for Scotland next summer.

A Potential Return To Scotland

Dykes was able to make a real impact at Livingston during his time there, proving to be prolific in Scotland's top flight before his move to QPR in 2020.

Although his time in English football perhaps did not reach the heights of what was initially expected, the Scot still managed a decent return in his first three seasons in London.

The 29 year old will no doubt be looking to rediscover his scoring touch with his next club, and a potential move to David Gray's Hibernian looks like a fantastic move for all parties.

Interest in Hibs' Youan

With interest in the versatile French forward Youan increasing, the addition of Dykes would be a shrewd acquisition for the ambitions of Hibernian this season.

Although a different type of player to Youan, Dykes would bring much-needed firepower should the Frenchman depart this summer.

After a positive start to the domestic campaign, Hibernian will turn their attention to a crunch Europa Conference Play-Off against Polish giants Legia on Thursday night with a 2-1 deficit to overturn.
