According to Scott Burns at the Daily Record, Hibs have rejected €5m+ bid from Hellas Verona for striker Kieron Bowie. I Gialloblù tabled the offer on Tuesday afternoon but Hibs have decided to turn the initial offer down.
Hellas Verona currently sit 19th in Serie A and will be hoping to avoid relegation. Kieron Bowie has scored nine goals this season, providing three assists. Bowie is well in contention for a World Cup spot if the next six months goes well, so it would be an important decision if he opted for a move. It has also been reported than that clubs across Germany, Italy, and Belgium are monitoring the 23-year-old.
Hibs previously sold left-back Josh Doig to Hellas Verona, who went on to play 36 times and scoring twice for them, before moving to current club Sassuolo, where he has played 69 times.
