Juventus Officially Make First Bid For Teun Koopmeiners

Juventus has officially submitted a bid for Atalanta midfield maestro Teun Koopmeiners. This comes after the Turin based club and the Dutchman showed interest in each other way back in the January transfer window.

Tier one Football Park rated source, Fabrizio Romano, has exclusively reported that the bid is at the €45 million mark and the personal terms have been completed since two months ago in May. Ultimately, Atalanta have to decide if that price is appropriate as they would be losing one of their best players and midfielding options.

Koopmeiners represented Atalanta 51 times last season including a UEFA Europa League Final victory over Bayer Leverkusen. He contributed towards 15 goals and 7 assists. It was unfortunate that those efforts were not enough to secure the Coppa Italia trophy over the side that are wanting to buy him in Juventus. More bad luck and Teun had to miss Euro 2024 with an adductor injury, who knows how different the tournament would have been.

Over the last 365 days, Koopmeiners has averaged some great defensive stats per 90 minutes of football from midfield. He puts out 5.84 progressive passes, 1.19 clearances, 0.86 ariel duels won and 1.22 blocks. This is all whilst playing an attacking based role for Atalanta.

The Old Lady have recently brought in son of club legend Lilian Thuram, Khéphren Thuram. With the exit of Adrien Rabiot, Juventus seem to be going in the right direction to rejuvenate their midfield and Koopmeiners is a perfect player for that task.
