Kosovan goal machine linked to Southampton, Leeds United and Nottingham Forest as Spain and Italy stay vigilant

You’d be forgiven for not recognising the name Muhamet Hyseni in 2024. But by the time the summer of 2025 rolls around, the Kosovan international could be one of the hottest names in the English football league.

Hyseni has scored 25 goals in 33 games this season, whilst providing six assists. His current side KF Llapi, narrowly missed out on the league title this season. But with one more game to go, Hyseni has a chance to secure his club a top 2 finish in the Kosovo top-flight.

After a tremendous season, FootballPark can reveal as an exclusive, that Hyseni has been linked to several English clubs in the EFL. Including Championship sides Leeds United and Southampton, alongside the Premier League’s Nottingham Forest.

Additionally, the performances of Hyseni have also sparked interest from Serie A and La Liga clubs.

One of the highlights for Hyseni’s season was back in November of 2022, when he scored against Switzerland in the Euro 2024 qualifiers. Hyseni came on in the 72nd minute, and five minutes later found himself through on goal against Inter Milan goalkeeper Yann Sommer. Despite one of Europe’s very best between the sticks and a narrow angle, Hyseni wasted no time, and slotted the ball in off the far post. Exquisite.

Standing at just 5 '9’’ tall, Hyseni’s agility allows him to brush past defenders and find the perfect finish. A playstyle similar to that of Italian legend Alessandro Del Piero.

At times, a 23-year-old striker can lack composure in tight areas. But Hyseni stays calm on the ball, with the confidence to brush past players and create something out of nothing.

In a physically dominated footballing world, Hyseni loves a press. There are numerous instances of him chasing down and hassling defenders, before making a clean tackle to put himself through on goal.

Hyseni also has immense power when it comes to shooting, especially free-kicks. As shown below:

As the talent coming out of Kosovo continues to develop, in players like Besiktas’ Milot Rashica, Lille’s Edon Zhegrova, Burnley’s Arijanet Muric and Napoli’s Amir Rrahmani, Hyseni is the next biggest star.

Whoever snaps up this gem of a striker this summer, will land themselves a goal machine.
