Wigan and Plymouth Argyle have both expressed interest in signing 25 year old Welsh midfielder Ollie Cooper from Swansea, with the player expected to leave the club on loan, as per Darren Witcoop.

Cooper has made over 100 appearances for Swansea since being promoted from the side's academy in November 2020, but newly appointed manager Alan Sheehan does not see the player in his long-term plans.
Over the last 4 seasons, Swansea have finished near the mid-table in the Championship, failing to reach their previous heights of Premier League football. This suggests that a change in the midfield may be necessary to reinvigorate the side. Ollie Cooper is central midfielder who is more inclined to play in attacking roles. The Welsh international has picked up 8 goals in his time at the club.
Wigan remain a steady League One outlet, with the Latics now entering their third straight season in the division. After completing the loan signing of Brentford's Ryan Trevitt, Wigan are now looking to add further quality into their side.

After being relegated from the Championship, Plymouth Argyle have started their Leage One campaign in poor form, only winning 1 of their opening 4 fixtures and the side currently sit 21st in the table.
After losing some key players in the midfield this window, Argyle will be looking to bolster in that position to prevent further upset.
Ollie Cooper is an experienced Championship player, making him valuable to either League One side in pursuit of him. With the deadline dwindling, this will be one to watch in the coming hours.
