Rosenior Returns to Management After Three Months Unemployed

Failed Chelsea manager Liam Rosenior has returned to management after spending a few months unemployed.

After a disastrous spell at the helm of Stamford Bridge, which saw the Blues exit the Champions League whilst losing five Premier League games in a row without scoring, the English coach departed from his role after barely four months in the gig.

But now the substitute teacher has landed himself a new role, and will be returning to France - where he had success in charge of Strasbourg - to take over the reins at Paris FC.

Eiffel For You, Liam

Not to be confused with their big-money neighbours, Paris Saint-Germain, Paris FC are a humble Ligue 1 side that finished 11th in the French top flight last season.

This season was Paris FC’s first in the top-flight after being promoted from the second division the season prior.

They suffered massive issues in the middle of the campaign when they made the choice to dismiss then-gaffer Stephane Gilli in February after three years in charge at the club.

They replaced him with Antoine Kombouare, who restored form and managed to help the team climb to safety and then some in Ligue 1 before packing it in in July.

Overall, the side battled to an 11th-place finish in the league - an impressive final result given their lack of experience at that level.

Rosenior Does France (Again)

This will not be the first time Rosenior has opted for a move to France, and particularly Ligue 1.

The former Hull City defender headed to Strasbourg in 2024, finding success in charge of the club owned and ran by Chelsea's owners, the BlueCo Group.

He enjoyed reasonable success in the role, finishing in seventh and qualifying for the Conference League.

He was drafted in at Chelsea as a replacement for departing boss Enzo Maresca, following his abrupt and controversial decision to leave in order to pursue other opportunities.
