Liverpool Agree Deal With Genk for 18-year-old Lucca Brughmans

Reports are breaking that Liverpool have reached a deal with Belgian giants Genk to sign 18-year-old goalkeeper Luca Brughmans for a fee that may reach £30m.

Though he may not hit the mark of some of the areas Liverpool fans were hoping to address this window the young keeper comes incredibly highly rated and has been dubbed as one of the next big goalkeepers in the sport.

To add to the enjoyment to the Liverpool faithful about signing the young keeper, it appears as though they have pipped Real Madrid to the signing who had interest in him earlier this window.

Brughmans appears to be gaining increasing importance in the Genk first team having already played 4 games in the Belgian league so far this season.

As a part of the deal he will stay in Belgium for the remainder of the 2026/27 season and will officially start wearing the famous red of Liverpool from the beginning of the 2027/28 season next year.
