Liverpool Reach Slot Sack Decision and Plan Summer Signings
Liverpool have made the decision to not sack Arne Slot as manager at this time, with David Ornstein reporting that FSG plan to stick by the Dutchman going into next season and are plotting four major signings, including RB Leipzig left-back David Raum.
Although Slot won the Premier League title with Liverpool last season, the Reds have been hugely disappointing this term. They have long been out of the Premier League title race, and may not make it into the top five in England's top-flight to make a Champions League return next season.
And, having lost the first leg of their quarter-final tie with Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League last week, the reigning Premier League champions look likely to exit their European affairs as well this evening, barring an almighty comeback.
FSG Keeping Faith in Arne Slot
However, despite their struggles, Liverpool are reportedly in no rush to sack Slot before next season gets underway and are plotting a reinforcement of four major signings this summer to re-vitalise the club, according to David Ornstein.

Ornstein spoke on NBC Sports about the situation, saying: “The intention of the club and Fenway Sports Group is to stick with Arne Slot into next season and give him longer.
“He’s on a contract until 2027. I think they feel there are clear mitigations.
“The transition work was always going to be huge after Jurgen Klopp’s departure, and the transfer windows across the course of all of Slot’s windows is four now.”
Ornstein also went on to say: “The net spend is about £150m, even though last summer was really high, and I think they plan to continue investing because they see this as a developing project and squad.
“There are more signings, no doubt on the way. They feel there are 3-4 first-team players that are needed for them to be really competitive again.
“We know that a wide player, because of Salah’s departure and also how Diaz wasn’t replaced, will also be high on the agenda.”
Liverpool Target David Raum as Robbo Replacement
According to TEAMtalk insider Graeme Bailey, one of those major signings is set to be RB Leipzig left-back David Raum, with Liverpool preparing for life after Andy Robertson with the Scotland defender confirmed as leaving the club this summer.

Liverpool are understood to have sent scouts at the weekend to watch Raum in action, and the 27-year-old Germany international would be signed to provide competition for Hungarian Milos Kerkez for the left-back spot in Liverpool's starting XI.
Liverpool will face a test to secure his signature, with Manchester United also looking into Raum as a potential bit of competition for Luke Shaw. Leipzing, meanwhile, are not in much of a selling mood and are planning to keep Raum for next season and beyond.
Diomande: Liverpool Interest 'Gives Me More Motivation'
Raum would not be the only Leipzig talent that Liverpool are hoping to sign this summer, with OneFootball reporting that a move for Yan Diomande is on the cards as well.
With the legendary Mohamed Salah also leaving Liverpool this season, the Reds have targetted the Ivorian winger as the Egyptian's 'ideal replacement'.

Diomande has now responded to rumours linking him with clubs such as Liverpool, and the 19-year-old’s comments will encourage FSG.
Speaking to Africa Foot, Diomande responded to the rumours linking him with clubs like Liverpool, saying:
“I’m here, and first and foremost, I’m healthy and working hard every day.
“Hearing these rumours about big clubs like PSG, Chelsea, Liverpool, and others interested in me gives me even more motivation to work.
“I keep smiling, stay upbeat, and keep pushing forward.”
Diomande also added: “My job is on the pitch, and I’m fully committed to my current club.
“As for the rest, I have a team that takes care of everything; I don’t stress about it. I play for Leipzig and enjoy it.”
