Chelsea have joined the interesting parties racing after Spurs midfielder Lucas Bergvall in the final hours of summer, according to talkSPORT.

The Swedish midfielder is a highly-rated talent, still aged only 20, and has formally requested to leave Spurs this summer.

The likes of Nottingham Forest and Newcastle have seen bids earlier in the window turned away for the former Djurgarden prospect, who joined Tottenham two years ago and has made 82 appearances for them since.

Bergvall Race Well Underway

Known for his poise in possession and technical ability, Lucas Bergvall has been a highly-rated prospect for quite some time now.

He has had plenty of first-team exposure at an elite level, too, turning out over 80 times in two years for Tottenham including 12 in the Europa League campaign that ended in the Lilywhites lifting the trophy in 2025.

With the high-key arrivals of the likes of Mateus Fernandes and Sandro Tonali this summer, a number of midfielders have been linked with exits from North London this summer. Bergvall, with Pape Sarr, has been the chiefly expected exit amongst many, but no interested party has come close to Spurs' £50m valuation of the Swede.

Capped 14 times for his nation at the tender age of 20, he is a talent that many will be keeping an eye on with nine hours left of Deadline Day, and Chelsea are now one of that chasing pack.

With the sale of Enzo Fernandez to Manchester City potentially going through today, the Blues are on the lookout for a potential replacement with Lamine Camara another target on their list as well.

Nobody seems to truly know where, but the likelihood is that Bergvall will no longer be a Spurs player by the end of the day.
