Luton Town have made a bid for FC Utrecht midfielder Davy van den Berg as their search for a new man in the middle stretches on over Deadline Day, according to Mike McGrath.
The Hatters have been chasing a new option in midfield for the majority of the transfer window, and their search has led them over into the Eredivisie for van den Berg, who is after more game-time having made only five Eredivisie appearances so far this term.

Their hunt has seen them linked with a number of names, with Barnsley's Luca Connell also having been linked with Jack Wilshere's side today, but their attentions have been turned overseas and into the Netherlands.
