Football Park can reveal that Alfie Osborne is ready to make a move down south with interest from Manchester City, Arsenal and Leeds. The three are the frontrunners for the 17-year-old’s signature but there are a host of other clubs interested.

Hearts recently lost Keir McMeekin to Manchester City so it wouldn’t be a surprise if Osborne joins his fellow Scotland U17 international. Osborne was a standout performer in Scotland U17’s 3-0 loss against Italy earlier this week, resulting in ramped up interest. A full overview of Keir McMeekin is available here:

The talented centre-back has played 27 games for Hearts B in the Lowland League, with an additional four appearances in the KDM Evolution Trophy. Osborne has already been involved with Hearts first team, featuring in the final two matchday squads of last season against St Johnstone and Kilmarnock.

After being promoted from the Scotland U17 to U19 squad, Alfie said: “I think the games I've played so far, I feel I've performed well, and the gaffer's called me up to each squad. It's just about securing my place in the team and yeah, performing at a high level.”

If Alfie chooses to join Arsenal, he could find himself a centre-back partner in Callan Hamill, who is regularly the captain of Arsenal’s U18 or U19 squads. Hamill made the move from St Johnstone last July and has excelled since joining The Gunners, even training sporadically with the first team.
