Manchester City vs Luton Town | Match Preview
Saturday afternoon will see the Premier League champions play host to Luton Town in an intense lead up to the end of the Premier League season and a game that neither side will want to drop points over.
The reverse league fixture, back in December, saw Luton take a 1-0 lead but quick goals from Bernardo Silva and Jack Grealish secured all three points for the champions. Manchester City are heading into this fixture after an emphatic 3-3 draw against Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu just three nights ago, a game that neither side will forget and will cause for a very intense second leg fixture next Wednesday, at the Etihad Stadium.
As for Luton, they are coming off from a 2-1 victory over Bournemouth as the Hatters are looking to secure a place in the Premier League next season. Luton currently sit 18th and in the relegation zone, any points taken from the treble winners will go a treat for the visitors.
Manchester City team news:
City will still be without Kyle Walker as there is hopes that the England defender could be back for the second tie against Real Madrid next week.
Rodri and Foden will be looking to sit this game out due to the amount of play time that they have had recently and any more injuries would put the season at major risk.
Rodri said Man City's busy schedule has taken a toll on him, as the team is set to play two games a week for the rest of the season 😮 pic.twitter.com/lCNMVQa93N

Rodri stated “I do need a rest… I do need to adjust.”
Kevin De Bruyne however, should feature against Luton after his midweek miss in Madrid after vomiting before the match. Nathan Ake is another miss as the defender is still out with a calf injury.
Luton team news:
Luton Town still continue to have a major injury crisis with the vast majority of their most experienced and vital players out with injury and are not due to be back by late April or some time in May.
The likes of Nakamba, Adebayo, Lokonga and many more are all major misses for the side that are desperate to stay in the Premier League for a second successive season.
Predictions:
We think Manchester City will take it easy and rest a lot of their first team usuals. However, the depth from the champions is immense and will still be able to produce a potentially high scoring match.
Luton, struggling with their injuries, do not stand much of a chance but never say never, we are going to predict a 5-0 win for Manchester City… maybe even more.
