Manchester United Interested in Signing Joshua Zirkzee

18/06/24 16:57

According to Florian Plettenberg, who Football Park rates as a tier one in reliability, FC Bologna’s Joshua Zirkzee is a desired target for Premier League side Manchester United.

AC Milan has shown interest in signing the Dutchman and seem to be close to an agreement which United acknowledge.

For a while he was also linked to joining his old club, Bayern Munich, where he played in their academy and afterwards going on loan to Parma Calcio and RSC Anderlecht for a season each.

Zirkzee joined the Italian club in 2022 where he managed to show his full potential, increasing his estimated worth from €8.5 million to €50 million. During the last Serie A season, he started for Bologna in 84% of matches, scoring 11 goals.

He still has a contract with Bologna until 2026 but has the opportunity to leave the club if his release clause is activated, which stands at €40 million.

Manchester United are having complications with the demanded fees and high commissions but are accordingly looking into the situation to find a way of signing the attacker.

In general, many big clubs alongside Bayern and Milan have been showing an interest in Zirkzee.

Clubs like Arsenal and Juventus have apparently also been looking into the young player.
