Manchester United Talent Close to Owls Move

Manchester United starlet Harry Amass is on the brink of a move to financially struggling Sheffield Wednesday, who have been placed under a transfer embargo until the end of next summer's transfer window.

As a result, the Owls have been limited to loan signings and deals with free agents, allowing them to plug the gaps left by departing first teamers due to lack of pay with stop-gap options. However, the talented Amass is anything but stop-gap, and Sheffield Wednesday seems to be an excellent next step for his development.

A Promising Future

Aged just 18, Amass has already drawn the attention of the Manchester United faithful, displaying remarkable maturity and composure in his seven first team appearances last season.

A left back by trade, a move to Sheffield Wednesday would mark the first senior move of his career, after being developed at United’s Carrington youth academy for the last two years. He rose quickly through the youth ranks, playing for the U18, U19 and academy sides in his first year at the club.

Moreover, last season was his best to date, as he played 16 times for the academy eleven, notching three assists in that time. Boasting a remarkably physical presence for one so young, and with an excellent turn of pace on the overlap, Amass could prove to be the difference between survival and relegation for Sheffield Wednesday this season.
