Manuel Ángel Flies to London Ahead of Fulham Move

Manuel Ángel has flown to London ahead of a move to Fulham, with the deal reportedly costing the Cottagers around £4m.

The Real Madrid starlet has been a favourite of Álvaro Arbeloa since the manager was at Real Madrid, with Arbeloa having high hopes for the young Spaniard.

This deal will be the third between the two sides, with Fulham already signing both Gonzalo García and César Palacios from Los Blancos. Arbeloa has also had his eye on a fourth youngster from Madrid, Thiago Pitarch, throughout the transfer window. However, reports from Marca claim that Real Madrid have refused to let Pitarch leave.

How Will Ángel Help Fulham?

The 22-year-old has been a mainstay in Real Madrid's B team, Real Madrid Castilla, since 2022, before earning a promotion to the first team during the 2025/26 season.

Ángel has made six appearances across all competitions for the first team, which is not a poor amount considering the competition for a midfield spot includes Aurélien Tchouaméni and Eduardo Camavinga.

However, new Madrid boss José Mourinho has reportedly made it clear to the youngster that he does not feature in his plans for either the first team or Castilla, opening the door for him to leave the club.

Ángel could be a strong squad player for Arbeloa's Fulham. His good decision-making and ability to adapt across midfield could make him a useful addition, and he could turn out to be a pivotal part of Fulham's season.
