Marcus Rashford Set to Depart Manchester United?

According to HITC, who Football Park rate as at tier three source, Manchester United are prepared to allow Marcus Rashford to leave the club this summer.

The forward came through the academy at Manchester United, and has been in the first team since 2016. Now 26-years-old, and despite flashes of brilliance, Rashford just hasn’t been consistent enough for the quality he possesses.

Famously, Rashford scored on his England debut back in 2016, but has been left out of the squad for Gareth Southgate’s Euro 2024 campaign.

As The Red Devils look to rebuild and start a long-term project, in the ilk of Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal, United are prepared to move on some of their higher-value assets. Given there is interest from Europe and Saudi Arabia for Rashford, the club are willing to let him go.

It appears United have deemed that Rashford’s (comparatively) unproductive campaign last season, where he managed nine premier league goal contributions, are no longer worth his bumper contract as United’s top earner. Combined with reported antics off the pitch, it feels like the right time for Rashford to move on.

Despite the winger having relatively little interest in a move to Saudi Arabia, he could be tempted by a move to France. French giants PSG have reignited their interest in Rashford, and are one of the only clubs in Europe who won’t struggle to offer his reported £300,000 per week wages.
