Matches That Impact All Across The Table: Football Park's EFL League One and League Two Roundup
The Penultimate EFL weekend saw many huge results across both League One and League Two, Football Park are here to bring you the roundup across both Leagues.
League One
Doncaster Rovers 1-1 Stevenage FC
A tight game that ended fair in the end. Both sides had moments but neither really took control. Doncaster will be frustrated not to turn this into a win at home, while Stevenage will take the point. In the table, it does not do loads for either, both missing a chance to gain ground.
Stockport County FC 3-1 Peterborough United FC
Big win for Stockport. Proper statement performance as well. They were clinical when it mattered and punished Peterborough. This is huge for their push up the table and keeps momentum going. Peterborough on the other hand will see this as a big missed opportunity.
Blackpool FC 1-0 Leyton Orient FC
Not the prettiest game, but Blackpool got the job done. One goal was enough and they defended it well. These are massive points at this stage of the season. Orient will be disappointed, especially in a game where there was not much between the sides.
Bradford City AFC 1-1 Bolton Wanderers FC
Bolton will feel like they should have won this. They had control in spells but just could not finish it off. Bradford stayed in the game and earned the point. In terms of the table, Bolton miss a chance to push higher, while Bradford keep ticking along.
Burton Albion FC 1-1 Exeter City FC
Another draw where both sides cancel each other out. Burton needed more at home but could not find it. Exeter will not mind the point. At this stage, though, draws do not really help either side too much.
Cardiff City FC 5-1 Northampton Town FC
This was a demolition. Cardiff were on it from the start and never let up. Five goals says everything. This gives them a massive boost in the table and real confidence going into the final stretch. Northampton will just want to forget this one quickly.
Huddersfield Town AFC 1-4 Mansfield Town FC
Huge result for Mansfield. To go away and score four is serious. They were clinical and took their chances brilliantly. Huddersfield just had no answer. This could be a massive swing in the table for Mansfield, while Huddersfield take a big hit.
Lincoln City FC 4-3 Wycombe Wanderers FC
Game of the day easily. End to end, goals everywhere, proper chaos. Lincoln just edged it in the end. These are the kind of wins that can define a season. Wycombe will be gutted to lose after scoring three, but defensively they were not good enough.
Luton Town FC 2-1 Barnsley FC
Luton got the job done in a tight one. They took their chances and managed the game well after going ahead. Barnsley pushed but just could not find a way back. This is a big three points for Luton and keeps them moving in the right direction.
Plymouth Argyle FC 2-1 Port Vale FC
Solid win for Plymouth. Not straightforward, but they got over the line. At this stage, that is all that matters. It keeps them in the fight in the table. Port Vale will feel like they could have taken something but just fell short.
Rotherham United FC 1-1 Reading FC
Another draw that does not really help either side. Both had chances, both had spells, but neither could win it. With so little time left in the season, this feels like a missed opportunity for both.
Wigan Athletic FC 0-1 AFC Wimbledon FC
Big away win for Wimbledon. Not many saw that coming. They stayed solid and took their chance when it came. For Wigan, this is a really damaging result, especially at home. Wimbledon pick up massive points that could be huge for their position in the table.

League Two
Grimsby Town FC 4-0 Swindon Town FC
Statement win from Grimsby. Four goals, dominant performance and never looked in trouble. This gives them a massive boost in the table and real confidence heading into the final games. Swindon were miles off it and that could be a damaging result.
Milton Keynes Dons FC 3-0 Tranmere Rovers FC
Comfortable win for MK Dons. They controlled the game and took their chances well. This is exactly what they needed at this stage of the season. Tranmere just did not offer enough and now find themselves slipping further behind.
Accrington Stanley FC 3-3 Crawley Town FC
Proper chaos. Goals everywhere and no real control from either side. Great to watch, not so great if you are a manager. In terms of the table, it is frustrating for both. A win would have been massive, instead they share the points.
Barnet FC 6-2 Gillingham FC
Absolute demolition. Barnet were ruthless and just kept going. Six goals says it all. This could be huge for their position in the table and gives them serious momentum. Gillingham will just want to move on quickly after that.
Bristol Rovers FC 4-0 Cheltenham Town FC
Another dominant performance. Bristol Rovers were in control from start to finish and never gave Cheltenham a chance. Big three points and a strong boost for their run-in. Cheltenham looked well off the pace.
Cambridge United FC 3-0 Barrow AFC
Solid, professional win. Cambridge did what they had to do and did it well. Three goals, clean sheet, job done. It keeps them moving in the right direction in the table. Barrow just did not turn up.
Chesterfield FC 2-0 Crewe Alexandra FC
Good win for Chesterfield. Not a classic, but they were the better side and deserved it. These are the kind of results that keep you in the fight. Crewe will feel like they could have offered more.
Colchester United FC 0-1 Notts County FC
Big away win for Notts County. Tight game, but they found the moment that mattered. These are huge points at this stage. Colchester will be frustrated as they just could not break them down.
Newport County AFC 3-2 Oldham Athletic AFC
Cracking game. End to end and full of chances. Newport just edged it in the end and those three points could be massive for them. Oldham will be gutted to come away with nothing after scoring twice.
Shrewsbury Town FC 2-2 Fleetwood Town FC
Another draw that feels like a missed opportunity. Both sides had chances to win it but could not take them. At this stage of the season, draws are not ideal for either side. Time is running out.
Walsall FC 0-2 Harrogate Town AFC
Big away win for Harrogate. They stayed organised, took their chances and saw it out well. This could be huge for their position in the table. Walsall, on the other hand, will see this as a really poor result at home. The Relegation battle is going down to the wire.
