Bard Adds Much-Needed Competition To Leeds' Defence

Leeds United need more defensive depth, especially with Gabriel Gudmundsson only recently returning from a hamstring issue and Joe Rodon also currently injured.

Bard would give Daniel Farke another natural option on the left-hand side of his defence and, if the deal goes through, he could potentially become one of Leeds' strongest defensive options this season.

An Experienced Defensive Option

Despite only being 25 years old, Bard already has plenty of senior experience from his time at Nice, having made well over 100 appearances for the French club in all competitions.

This isn't a young player who Leeds would need to slowly introduce to senior football. Bard already has plenty of experience at a high level and could immediately compete for a place in Farke's starting side.

There is already competition at left-back, but bringing in Bard would give Farke another genuine option in that position and provide Leeds with more opportunities to rotate throughout the season when required.
